Course Overview
Most laser tattoo removal training assumes you're starting from scratch. This course doesn't. It's built specifically for permanent makeup providers — people who already understand pigment, skin, and the client relationship, but need to bridge the gap into laser removal done right.
That gap is real. PMU pigments behave differently than tattoo ink under a laser. The procedures that placed them — brows, liner, lips, scalp — each have their own anatomy, depth variability, and removal considerations. A laser technician without PMU knowledge often gets it wrong. A PMU artist without laser knowledge can't effectively advise their clients or collaborate on complex cases. This course closes both sides.
Developed by Ivonne Sanchez — PMU artist, educator, and Key Opinion Leader — this is a 12-module, 89-unit course that goes deep. You'll work through pigment science, colour theory applied to removal, wavelength and parameter selection using PicoWay technology, treatment planning from intake through aftercare, and the complications that textbooks gloss over. Clinical pearls from real cases are woven throughout.
Whether you're a PMU provider looking to add laser removal to your scope, or a laser technician building fluency with PMU-specific cases, this course gives you the technical foundation and the clinical judgment to treat with confidence.
What you'll walk away with:- A working understanding of how PMU pigments differ from tattoo ink and why it changes the removal approach
- Colour theory applied practically to predict removal outcomes by pigment and wavelength
- Procedure-specific anatomy knowledge for brows, liner, lips, and scalp micropigmentation
- A structured treatment planning process from intake through final session
- Parameter decision-making for fluence, spot size, and wavelength selection with PicoWay
- A library of complication scenarios and how to manage them
- Ready-to-use reference sheets, intake forms, and aftercare templates
