How to Use in a Modern Clinic
Google Meet is Google's secure, enterprise-grade video conferencing platform. It allows for high-definition video meetings, screen sharing, and real-time collaboration directly from any web browser or mobile app, and is a core part of the Google Workspace suite.
How to use in a modern clinic:
- Telehealth & Virtual Consultations: Conduct secure, one-on-one video appointments with clients for initial consultations, follow-ups, or remote assessments. When used as part of a Google Workspace plan that includes a Business Associate Agreement (BAA), it can be used in a HIPAA-compliant manner.
- Team Collaboration & Meetings: Replace email chains and phone calls with instant video meetings for daily team huddles, administrative planning, or in-depth staff training sessions, even if staff are in different rooms or working remotely.
- Remote Client Support: Offer quick, face-to-face check-ins for clients post-procedure to answer questions or assess progress without requiring them to travel to the clinic.
- Vendor & Supplier Demos: Securely meet with sales reps, review new products, or receive equipment training from vendors remotely.
- Integrated Scheduling: Seamlessly integrate with Google Calendar. When you create a calendar event (like a client consultation), you can add a Google Meet link with one click, which is then automatically included in the calendar invite sent to the client.
By integrating Google Meet, clinics can offer flexible, secure, and professional virtual services, improving client access and streamlining internal team communication.
